Silence

I have been so busy with my computer editing for the last week but I thought I would stop and keep this up to date!! I AM DONE EDITING!! While editing I was adding some sound. In all honesty and with the help of others we found the sound to be nothing but cheesy. I would not want to throw in cheesy sound to ruin the work and suspenseful feel I have tried to create. I went with a film opening that was quiet besides the background music used in the back....

The film itself would not be silent but I felt keeping the film opening to minimum sound would allow the viewer to feel the suspense. This was an artistic choice not one I just gave up on!

I can't believe that this whole process is coming to an end but I can't wait for you to see the masterpiece in which I have created!!!

Until then....

reflection over this crazy project!

While gathering all the footage I have from filming there were so many bloopers that we had which made the editing process even better because of the mistakes. One of the hardest parts about this film process for me was to remember that this was just a film opening and not an entire story being told in 2 minutes.

Overall I am so happy with this whole process I have started my CCR and I am writing the script. I want my personality to show through the CCR. I am used to being in front of the camera and not behind it so this will give me the opportunity to shine through. Even though some of the shots we had I was a part of the film and my friend Robbie just helped us out with the filming of those I don't think we are going to end up using those because it is unnecessary towards the story line.

Although this process was stressful and time consuming I am happy with the way my project is turning out despite losing footage and having to start over! Although I found some aspects to be very stressful I would not have picked something different. I have learned so much about myself and the art of creating something...

It was cool for me to see what it is like to be behind scenes making the magic happen and not being a part of the magic in front of the screen! I am so grateful for all of my friends that helped me throughout this process and for the support. Thank you to all the people who read my blog and hear my voice through a screen! Can't wait to share with you the finished product!!!

Until then... Back to editing and fixing minor issues I go!!

XOXOXO :)

I have begun to edit my masterpiece after having the worst thing that could have possibly happen, happen. I am happy with the way that this is all coming together though because even though it is still under the drama genre I have taken a different route for my storyline. This one is based off a creepy stalker who finds the girl through ways of social media.

This was a fun thing to film because I used my friends from drama who act so it was fun to watch them bring my story line alive! I have been looking for some royalty free music to use in my video since these are easy tracks to use without having to ask for permission. I don't think I will be putting music behind the whole video yet unless if it is very low and deep music to go along with the theme.
I will have to test out the way it sounds the next time that I am editing!

Can't wait for you to see the way this all turns out! I am SO excited :)

See you sooooooon!

oh no!!!!

I HAD SOMETHING VERY BAD HAPPEN!!!! I lost the footage to parts of my film and it was enough that it wasn't just an easy fix....  I was very frustrated to have this happen because I was feeling so confident with the footage that I do have and with such a soon due date I was freaking out. Thank goodness my friends were able to drop what they were doing to come help me but there was one problem. I had a friend who had helped me and was in the majority of the scenes and he could no longer help so what was I going to do? Originally I wanted to cry but that just was NOT going to help my situation. I picked myself up got the help of my friends and reshot our film so I am feeling much better now. I genuinely really liked the way this was is turning out.

Thank goodness for good friends who were able to help!! I guess people really do learn the hard way and next time I am working on a project I am going to be sure to download all footage on a flash drive because technology can be the worst sometimes!!!!

As spring break comes to an end I am more than ready to start putting together pieces of my film to make a masterpiece! I have bounced ideas off of multiple friends to get a feel for what they thought and for the most part I have been getting positive reactions!!!! YAY!! Makes me feel good to know that this project I am working hard to make the best possible, is coming together. Getting the project up on its feet was a struggle but it will be all worth it and thats what I keep reminding myself.

I want to get constructive criticism from people who have done this project before so I found asking those friends was the best way to get feedback! I wasn't looking for only positive interactions because sometimes the negative criticism helps make the overall finished project even better! I can't wait to start sharing even more bits and pieces of my project!

As for now, have faith that magic is happening on the other side of this and my film is coming together slowly but surely!!

See you next week for more updates :)
